Website Recommendations

From my own perspective, I believe the home page has the most concerning issues when compared to the other pages on TickCheck.com. My concerns are somewhat similar to the feedback I have gathered from the participants. I would appreciate if there was more description added to the map on the home, specifically a key chart telling you what the different shades of blue mean for Lyme Disease Risk. Following along with visuals, I feel like there could be hyperlinks attached to the images on the slideshow that direct you to a page that contains that specific information. Also, hovering your mouse over the boxes below the slideshow seems misleading as you can only click the smaller box within those boxes in order to click the link provided. Adding onto this, only one of the small boxes ("Get started now" inside "Get your results") is originally green, so there's less unity when compared to the other boxes. There can also be an address to the lab site itself added beneath the logo if I wanted to physically drop off my tick to the lab. Despite the address being at the very bottom, putting it closer to the top would appeal more to the visual hierarchy of information provided.

Some of the tabs are also confusing as well. Much like Gloria's concern, I believe it would be easier for users to differentiate "Tick Identification" and "Identify my Tick" by using different terminology. I also am curious as to what the "Partners" tab relates to and if it is possible for anyone to sign in or just developers of the website.

Mobile App Recommendations

As for the mobile app, the visuals are my leading concerns along with a few other issues. The majority of the background and app itself is white space which is not too appealing and should have some variety like the web page's color scheme such as adding more shades of green. The colors that are already there do not complement each other well so there should be more balance to the existing colors, especially for the buttons. There is also a hamburger button at the top left of the screen that I am unable to access on my mobile device, but I discovered I can look at more information that would have been provided by tapping this button if I swipe the screen to the right instead. I would recommend then to alter the button so it can be easily accessed by all mobile devices. It would also be helpful to de-clutter the information on the symptoms page and space it out so it can be read more easily.
